Single‑voltage Headlights
Single‑voltage headlights include 6V and 12V fixed‑voltage versions. The 6V fixed‑voltage model fits vintage, mini motorcycles and certain special export models with limited market volume. The 12V fixed‑voltage variant works for most scooters, standard motorcycles and large touring bikes under 9‑16V DC input. Voltage above 16V may burn out the driver, while insufficient voltage causes dim output and frequent flickering.
Wide‑voltage Headlights
Common wide‑voltage specifications are 12‑80V and 12‑85V. Built‑in DC‑DC constant‑current driver chips automatically convert high input voltage to the working voltage required by LED beads. They are compatible with 12V fuel‑powered motorcycles as well as 48‑72V electric mopeds, ideal for overseas markets with mixed vehicle types.
Important Note:
Both single‑voltage and wide‑voltage headlights only support DC power supply. If the original headlight runs on AC power, an AC‑DC converter is mandatory for normal operation.
Export Sourcing Recommendations:
During export sourcing, importers should confirm the voltage standard of mainstream vehicles in target markets. Choose 12V fixed‑voltage headlights for regular fuel motorcycles. Stock wide‑voltage units for markets mixing fuel bikes and electric mopeds. Offer matching converters for AC‑original vehicles to lower after‑sales complaints and improve end‑user experience.
