Original motorcycle headlights have limited irradiation distance and narrow paving range, showing obvious lighting shortcomings during long-distance riding, off-road mountain driving and night rural road riding. Most riders install LED spotlights and auxiliary lights to broaden vision. Different from headlights, spotlights have exclusive selection standards, and wrong choices lead to astigmatism, high power consumption and failure in rainy days.
Condensed spotlights are preferred for off-road and mountain long-distance riding with concentrated beams, over 100-meter irradiation range and strong penetration, suitable for dark long-distance roads without street lights. Flood auxiliary lights are ideal for urban commuting and rural paved roads, with wide and uniform paving light to make up for the blind areas on both sides of original headlights. The optimal single lamp power is 30-40W, providing sufficient brightness without excessive battery power consumption.
Meanwhile, focus on waterproof grade, shock resistance and wiring harness technology. Bumpy and humid off-road conditions require IP67 waterproof and reinforced shockproof products with waterproof plugs and short-circuit protection for wiring harnesses. Avoid low-quality unqualified spotlights which are prone to water damage, circuit leakage and safety accidents. Choose condensed or flood lights according to riding scenarios to maximize night riding safety.
